Last week we launched a refresh to the TELUS Mobility smartphones site. This version includes a profiling quiz along with a very useful filtering mechanic (click View All Phones) that provides users with a simple way of narrowing down their best suited phone.

Teehan+Lax wins FWA Site of the Day

FWA

The TELUS Gift Guide is today’s FWA Site of the Day. Congratulations team! It’s the second FWA win I’ve been involved in, and the first for Teehan+Lax.

2008 TELUS Gift Guide

TELUS Gift Guide

I’ve been getting many people asking me the same question lately. The collective answer is: Yes, we (Teehan+Lax) launched the 2008 TELUS Gift Guide a couple weeks ago. I’ve just been slow (ie. too sleep deprived) to post about it.

The response so far has been tremendous. People seem to be enjoying the ‘Magic Machine’ feature and the new streamlined framework. The site loads and performs significantly faster than last years guide. This year gave us the opportunity to tweak and tune our framework, and I think it shows.

TELUS Gift Guide

A major element of the site has been the ‘Magic Machine’, a Rube Goldberg-esque video sequence which is dynamically strung together by the users’ desired phone features. All the animations were done in house.

The machine knows what phone you want! Magic!

Last year’s product store has been rewritten to be faster, cleaner, and lighter.

SunChips Get Green Facebook application launched.

Fresh off the relaunch of sunchips.com, we recently rolled out a unique Facebook application called SunChips Get Green. Developing a dynamic app entirely in Flash that takes full advantage of Facebook API along with a fairly complex data layer was certainly a challenge, but we’re very happy with the end result. I’ll be posting my comments on dealing with Facebook from a Flash Developers perspective shortly. In the meantime, try it out!
